After five years in the labs, numerous launch date shifts, questions upon questions about security, and the testing by 50 families in seven countries, Vista is ready to hit the shelves Tuesday. The Microsoft marketing machine is reportedly spending $500 million on promoting the thing Monday and Tuesday, including Monday’s lavish launch in NYC where acrobats scaled walls and danced around a Vista logo.
