Tony Li is back at Cisco again, according to Light Reading. Li, a celebrated routing software engineer originally left Cisco in 1996 – when he reportedly nailed his letter of resignation to a Cisco office door – to become Juniper’s fifth employee, and went on to help set up Procket Networks in 1999. He returned to Cisco at the end of 2004 but left again in 2005. According to Light Reading, Cisco has confirmed Li’s new role as a Cisco Fellow at the company’s Data Center Business Unit.
