Tired of your old boring cell-phone chirping at you or playing that Souza march every time it rings? Well you should be. Now you can spice up your cell phone ring tone with the call of a wild animal. Specifically the authentic sounds of some of the world’s most threatened birds, owls, frogs, toads and marine mammals. The non-profit Center for Biological Diversity is now offering free ringtones from calls of the Blue-throated Macaw, Beluga Whale, Boreal Owl, Mountain Yellow-legged Frog, Yosemite Toad, or any one of over forty other endangered critters. From the group’s Web site it takes a few steps to get the ringtones, basically entering your e-mail address and name. The group claims some 24,000 customer have downloaded the ringtones.
