Keeping your Ipod, MP3s cozy warm

Wow I haven’t seen tubes like this since the mid 1960s when I fried my hand on my dad’s old Pilot stereo amplifier (I love how they are called vintage now). Anyhow, check this out: Roth Audio has launched its MC4 hybrid-tube amplifier for use with iPod, MP3, Computer and CD devices. Roth says the “Music Cocoon can guarantee that the amplifier will add a real warmth and dimension to the music which other amplifiers are not designed to do. When using uncompressed files, this amplifier has the ability to allow you to hear things in the music which you have not heard before.” Hmm I suppose that’s possible but would think only serious audiphiles would be able to tell the difference. Besides if not linked up with some very nice speakers who would be able to tell? The Music Cocoon MC4 will be available in April for about $770.
