“Manny being Manny” has become part of the sports lexicon because fans of the Boston Red Sox never know what future Hall-of-Famer Manny Ramirez is going to do next … they just know it’ll make headlines.
Manny’s not disappointing them this time, either, as the slugger who makes $20 million a year has placed for sale on eBay a slightly used grill, albeit a top-of-the line JENN-AIR model:
Hi, I’m Manny Ramirez. I bought this AMAZING grill for about $4,000 and I used it once… But I never have the time to use it because I am always on the road. I would love to sell it and you will get an autographed ball signed by me =] Enjoy it, Manny Ramirez.

The New York Times the other day ran a hatchet job on Ramirez that tried to make the case that the player’s defensive and base running shortcomings are such that they more than offset his offensive contributions to the team.
What the article failed to assign proper value to, however, is Manny’s entertainment value.
