Next week, Cisco Subnet will be launching a new Cisco Press section. We’ll be giving away a load of Cisco Press titles every month, and we’ll also be publishing extracts from new and classic Cisco books, exclusively on Cisco Subnet.

Also starting Monday, we have two new Cisco Press author experts blogging for us for the month of April: Jeff Riddel, author of PacketCable Implementation and Mark Kadrich CISSP, author of EndPoint Security, which publishes April 2. The author experts are waiting to answer your burning cable networking and security questions, so please e-mail your queries to ciscosubnet@nww.com, or simply reply to this post (click on ‘reply’ below). We’ll also be giving away 15 copies each of Jeff’s and Mark’s books – and we’ll be publishing exclusive chapters – so watch this space.

Jeff is a network consulting engineer within Cisco’s Broadband Advanced Services team. Before working on cable, Jeff worked on various Cisco VoIP products and solutions. Mark is president and CEO of The Security Consortium, which performs in-depth testing and evaluation of security products and vendors. His strengths are in systems level design, policy generation, end point security, and risk management.

And there’s still time to enter for March’s Cisco Press book giveaway – see here for details. We’ll announce the winners and reveal the answers to the competition questions next month.

Keep tuned to Cisco Subnet!
