Dave Barry, VP of business development at AlterPoint, in his blog has picked up our recent discussion about how Cisco is gunning for the Cisco used equipment market.

He believes the used equipment market provides high benefits to Cisco customers, citing an example of one large financial services company that “justified a $250K change management software purchase because they were able to find ten expensive cards that weren’t needed anymore, but were in high demand in the market. They sold the cards for >$300K and plowed that money back into better network management creating a virtuous circle of their own. That’s an ROI that even the Donald could buy into.”
