Somebody at Cisco knows how to party. For their Networkers at Cisco Live! show this summer they have landed KISS. That’s right, “The Greatest Rock ‘N’ Roll Show on Earth,” will uh, sing to the Cisco faithful.
On Cisco’s site says:
The founders of stadium rock with their sci-fi Kabuki costumes, explosive theatrics, and garish make-up, KISS will rock your senses at the Customer Appreciation Event on July 25. Indeed. One has to wonder if there will be a bootleg of the event. The band has been outspoken critics about the online music world. The band’s frontman, Paul Stanley recently said in an interview: “Downloading is one of the tragedies of the 21st century. Under the guise of technology and fancy jargon, people have legalized stealing. When you say you’re sharing files . . . you can’t share what you don’t own. I can’t share your car. Sharing something with one person is one thing, sharing with tens of thousands of people is a crime. It’s robbery.” I am pretty sure that won’t come up at the Networkers show. Now I just want to see Cisco CEO John Chambers rock out to Detroit Rock City.
