Microsoft attempts to jump start its NAC scheme

Microsoft and the Trusted Computing Group (TCG) have made their wares interoperable. TCG is a consortium of some 170 vendors developing a hardware-based security infrastructure. With interoperability between Microsoft’s NAP and TCG’s Trusted network Connect architecture, Microsoft answers the question of how it is planning on competing with NAC schemes from network hardware vendors like Cisco and Juniper.
