Tivo ToStay

I was excited when I read the news that TiVo was extending its Tivo ToGo technology to Windows Media devices. I’ve got a Dell Axim X50V that I thought I could somehow move shows to so I could watch them on the road without pulling out the bulky (in comparison to the Axim) laptop. But it turns out, the ToGo option is only available for specific Portable Media Center devices. There are probably other ways I can get the shows to my handheld of choice, includding re-encoding in some hyper compressed format such as DivX or use the Windows Media mobile profile in Windows Media encoder. But that’s more work that I want to put in at this point.
