Arel Communications last week released Arel Spotlight II, a new version of its videoconferencing/collaboration application, with new hooks into standards-based video end points and phone networks. The original client could only communicate with other Spotlight users using a proprietary protocol. Spotlight II also features a new QoS system designed to modulate the bandwidth used by video when application sharing is in use. Arel Spotlight II is available for $1,000 per concurrent user.
