Sonic Foundry offers hosting

Sonic Foundry is dipping its toes into the hosting market for customers that want ease into the world of Webcasting. Customers that don’t want to host their own content can use Sonic Foundry’s data center through the company’s new Quick Start program. The offering includes up to 50 concurrent users with the typical 100k and 56k streams. Sonic Foundry also provides five customizable skins. Pricing starts at $1,750 per month with a one-time $2,000 administration fee. Customers must already use Sonic Foundry’s MediaSite content creation tools in order to take advantage of the hosting service. Currently, Sonic Foundry is not supporting secure streaming or any sort of user authentication, but that could be coming down the road.
