A public beta of the latest Sorenson Squeeze Compression Suite is now available for download. Version 4.2 features support for the new Flash 8 video format that uses the VP6 codec from On2 Technologies. Once generally available, the update will be free to all existing 4.0 users. Those who haven’t jumped on the Squeeze bandwagon will have to pony up $199.
