Waitress confirms Macromedia layoffs

NetworkWorld.com reported last week that there were impending layoffs resulting from the Adobe/Marcomedia merger. Well, an unlikely source confirmed the news: My waitress last Friday night at Buckley’s Great Steaks in Merrimack, NH (side note: Excellent food!). The waitress’ daughter used to work in sales at Macromedia until she was laid off last week (she’s 8.5 months pregnant too – what a shower/Christmas gift!) The daughter was a higher-up in the sales chain, according to our waitress, and was told she would be okay during the transition. Guess not.
