Starting an accredited SANS college focusing on executive IT/business leadership is a big deal. Customer data protection and other regulatory rules (for starters) now involve IT leadership in legal, accounting, image and other complex business processes. And, just like accountants need to translate dollars and cents to all these business departments and regulators, so, too, will IT managers as they meet audit and system requirements on a very high business level.
