Google pays; suit goes away

Google likely will say little or nothing — in keeping with company practice — but you can be certain that executives there are mighty unhappy about having had to settle a click-fraud lawsuit for $90 million.

After all, nothing attracts litigious parties and their attorneys quite like the waft from a steaming pile of class-action settlement money.

Of course, no company that relies on pay-per-click advertising will take any comfort from this news or the whole click-fraud stink, including — gulp — the one that pays for these words to be written.

Please click judiciously, people.
