endif; ?>One of the courses I enjoy teaching is the MCITP-DBA Bootcamp. This is where we lock you up in a room for a week and let you out when you are certified. Well, not quite. It is a little bit more civilized than that. It is a grueling schedule but the idea is to focus on the certification exams and give you the best possible chance of passing in an immersed environment. The Bootcamp assumes you already have the knowledge and skills of a DBA as defined by the published “Skills Measured” for each exam on the Microsoft Learning web site. It’s just that people need help with the tests. You can take the exams on your own but, in my experience, it can take several weeks study and practice per exam especially when you consider balancing your day job and other responsibilities. The Bootcamp allows you to commit one week to study, practice and, hopefully, pass all the exams, then you’re done. The Bootcamp is tough going. You may be tired at the end of the week but at least you’ll be certified. Cheers Brian
