As perks go, telecommuting is a popular one, according to Fortune’s list of the 100 best companies to work for. It’s offered by 83 of the companies ranked by the magazine. In addition, Fortune singled out 10 companies with the highest percentage of employees who telework. Deloitte tops that list, with 90% of regular telecommuters (those who telework at least 20% of the time), followed by Cisco (85%) and Juniper (75%). Rounding out the list of companies with the highest percentage of regular telecommuters are: Accenture (67%), REI (53%), eBay (50), S.C. Johnson & Son (39%), Southern Ohio Medical Center (37%), Booz Allen Hamilton (36%), and American Fidelity Insurance (34%). Storage vendor NetApp, which rose from 14th place to steal the No. 1 spot on Fortune’s 2009 list, also offers telecommuting.
