Network World’s John Fontana writes that Microsoft is talking a good game about open-source software at this week’s Open Source Business Conference. Given Microsoft’s history with open source, though, it makes you wonder what the driver is:
But despite the good will and open source work, Microsoft in part is reacting to the downturn in the economy and trying to prevent corporate users and start-ups budgeting on a shoestring from defaulting to open source alternatives.
