Cisco has recently announced a new product called the Cisco Unified “Enterprise” Attendant Console. I believe this is a replacement product to the Attendant Console that has gone into end of sale (EoS) status in 2008. The new attendant console product requires a Cisco Unified Presence Server (CUPS) much like the Cisco Unified Personal Communicator (CUPC) software client that integrates software phone calls, video calls, and instant messaging. This new product is scalable to a 100,000 user directory and offers enhanced presence integration with CUPS. An end user can assign weights to different devices based on their communication preferences. My personal preferences would be as follows: #1: Instant Messenger #2: E-Mail #3: Desk phone #4: Cellular phone Does your company have a Cisco Unified Presence Server yet? Any plans of getting one? Does your company have any plans of integrating with Microsoft OCS or Exchange 2007?
