Since Steve Jobs returned to Apple in 1997, Apple’s products have pushed the limits of minimalist design. This focus on simplicity can be seen across Apple’s product lines, from the iMac to the iPhone to the Mighty Mouse, and most recently, in the new button-less MacBooks. The following picture of Steve Jobs captures the minimalist philosophy of Jobs. It was taken in Jobs’ house in 1982, and though he was a multi-millionaire at the time, you wouldn’t be able to tell from the way it was furnished. Jobs has said of the picture,
This was a very typical time. I was single. All you needed was a cup of tea, a light, and your stereo, you know, and that’s what I had.
