Still waiting on Cisco Live Media Request, you know it is Invitation Only.
Like many other I sent an email to Cisco to request a Media badge for Cisco Live this year. The web site said it is invitation only, which means if you don’t write what we like you are not coming (jk). After I did not hear anything for months I sent an email to 40 of my media pals and none of them have even received an email, so I guess I was lucky they replied to me after months. It could have been because I sent my email four times asking are you going to reply.
But since we are getting into May soon it looks less and less like I will be there as flights get very tight and so do hotel cost. Since I am paying my own way to the event I was hoping Cisco would have everything in order and would be on the ball. But I guess not, my reply from Cisco was a “we will get back with you when we have things set in stone”. I have heard nothing after a month. I guess they are still chiseling on that stone
So for you people who have emailed me asking if I will be there to cover it looks slim at this point. Guess I will blog on another event. I hear ProCurve has a nice event.
Note: Yes I like Cisco, yes I am a partner. But they could be more on the ball.
