The combination of Apache, PHP, MySQL, phpMyAdmin and Zend Optimizer (see editorial links for each) is a pretty powerful setup under Linux (hence the references to LAMP – Linux + Apache + MySQL + PHP/Perl/Python). That is given the maturity of each component and the huge amount of software (particularly open source) that relies on this configuration.

The beauty of the YellowTip Web Server is that it provides a single installer that installs all the components (or just the individual ones you want) into a single directory. Better yet, the subsystem can be used immediately after the installation without rebooting. I suppose what you would now have could be referred to as “WAMP.” Anyway, uninstalling is equally easy.
While the various included components aren’t the very latest versions of each they are all recent, stable releases that make the configuration robust. The core components of YellowTip Web Server 2.0 include Apache 2.0.52 with OpenSSL support, MySQL 4.0.18, PHP 4.3.7, and Zend Optimizer 2.5.3 (the renowned PHP optimizer).
Optional add-ons consist of:

* Gallery 1.4.4pl2 (a PHP-based photo gallery).

You can install YellowTip Web server under Windows 2000, Windows XP Home Edition, or Windows XP Professional Edition.
