Cisco joined Comcast and other firms to pump $46 million into the third round funding of online video streaming provider Move Networks. According to CBS News, the company claims its service provides a higher level of quality than other video providers, including HD, and it claims to be able to eliminate buffering. The idea of the service is to enable media companies offer consumers an online video experience that’s the same as their television or DVD experience. The company early last month announced plans to integrate the Move media player with Microsoft Silverlight technology.
