Somehow I’ve failed to make it into any sessions in the afternoon, every time I try to walk into one, somebody strikes up a conversation. Here’s a quick recap of the past four hours of chats:
- Luke Kanies from Reductive Labs. Luke is the inventor of Puppet. Had a great talk with him & Brent about extending Puppet towards network management tasks.
- Jesse Robbins from O’Reilly. Jesse is the organizer of this fine event.
- Brent Chapman from GreatCircle Associates. Brent is an old friend and colleague, plus the original author of the Majordomo mailing list manager, and the O’Reilly Building Internet Firewalls book
- Jason Hoffman from Joyent
- Web Operations Guy from Adobe
- Damon Edwords & Alex Honor from ControlTier
- Maureen from O’Reilly
- Jon Boutelle from Slideshare
- Chris Lunt from Venrock Capital
- Dustin Splan from Etsy
- Dave Clark from MindSource
As somebody who’s mostly working the hallway track, my suggestion to O’Reilly is to print company & attendee larger fonts, I’m having to get uncomfortably close to read people’s badges.
