It is now 1AD or Anno Domini iPhone, that is 1 week after the launch of the iPhone and the reviews have been written, the phone has been dismantled and hacks have been committed to bytes. We have learnt that: * How to bypass ATT Registration so that you can have a $600 Wifi iPod. * That the iPhone has the world’s coolest bluetooth combo * It is the fastest selling Wireless Phone for AT&T in history. * There is already an iPhone Camp for Developers * Owning an iPhone is a life changing event * The iPhone is made up of lots of stuff and parts The number of iPhones sold is some where between 500,000 to 1,000,000 or more. What ever the number of iPhone sold in the first week (and it is not yet over), it has been a marvel to watch a brilliant PR execution to a successful consumer product. They now have 1 million people who are a vocal advocates of the product and like the Mac have a very powerful marketing bots. The question remains now that it has generally been regarded as a successful launch and the product lives up to it’s hype, is “Will it have legs for the long run?”. This question remains to be seen.
