The Skype outage news should have a lot of business people thinking twice about deploying a VoIP (Voice-over-IP) system for their company.
This is like saying that because there are outages on the Internet, business should not use the internet. Skype is a tool like everything else and should be used as such. Just like the fact that (Windows) PCs need to be rebooted every other hour, does not mean you don’t use (Windows) PCs. The truth is that Skype is like everything else and needs to learn from it’s problems and so should we.
