Dell says: Linux is growing despite Microsoft’s threats

Microsoft’s threats over Linux’s alleged violations of Microsoft’s intellectual property aren’t scaring people away from the operating system, according to Michael Dell. He told attendees of the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo during his keynote on Thursday that sales of servers loaded with Linux have grown faster than servers with Windows, ZDNet UK reports. Interestingly, Dell also hinted that there were “mechanisms” in place to protect customers should Microsoft stop blowing smoke and actually take legal action against Linux users.
