The Computer Science Club at the University of Waterloo has available for download a 1989 talk by Bill Gates, in which he discusses the future of computing in the next four years. Some of the topics of this talk, which was recently digitized, include the transition from 8-bit to 16-bit computers, the future of the mouse, diskette-based software, the history of the Mac and Microsoft’s involvement and Gates’ then-current role at Microsoft.
