Before we start, notice the nice box highlighting some content from our sister magazine PC World. We’ve gathered some of their Top 10 and Top 5 lists, such as for laptops and multifunction printers, in one spot just one click away. Week of April 30th – Check your e-mail and Web servers (or hosting service) for new capabilities to better handle spam or other security improvements. Week of the 7th – Test the restore process for files from local backups and remote backups. Week of the 14th – Update some content on your Web site. Start thinking about a major refresh in June or July. Week of the 21st – Compile a wish list of equipment you will need in the future, along with pricing, so you’ll know a good deal if an opportunity appears as a surprise. Week of the 28th – Unplug your servers to verify your UPS power backup systems actually work. Note: don’t unplug your server from the UPS, unplug

the UPS from the wall to simulate losing power to the building.
