Cisco, Nokia Siemens join to offer unified OSS to service providers

Cisco and Nokia Siemens will collaborate on common network management elements for a unified operations support system (OSS) for service providers, reports EE Times.

EE Times says the two companies would combine aspects of Cisco’s Active Network Abstraction (ANA) technology and Nokia Siemens’ Open EMS Suite software to create a common OSS environment for circuit-switched wireline, wireless and IP-based carriers.
