ABC must have started something by offering 99-cent downloads of some of its hit shows for the video iPod. Now NBC and CBS have launched similar initiatives with other video on demand services that will allow customers to download reruns for $0.99. What makes the CBS/NBC offerings a little different: It’s TV quality being delivered through satellite and cable systems and they’ll be commercial free. Granted, you could just get a TiVo or similar service and do the same thing without paying 99 cents for each show you might want to watch. Or do it the really old fashioned way: Wait til the rerun shows up in a couple weeks.
