The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) and SSG-NOW launched this week a survey for IT professionals on cloud storage.
The survey called the 2011 Cloud Storage Adoption, Practice and Deployment is expected to define the market for cloud storage and assess which data – backup, archive, eDiscovery – users will place in the public and private cloud from 2011 through 2014. If you know some IT professionals or are one yourself, you can complete the survey.
When you are asked to enter a survey code, enter SNIA.

In taking the survey, your identity and survey answers will be held in strict confidence, anonymous and reported only in aggregate data tables. SNIA has been active in cloud storage having launched the Cloud Storage Initiative and the Cloud Backup and Recovery Special Interest Group. In addition, SNIA is promoting the Cloud Data Management Interface (CDMI) as a standard API for implementing cloud storage.
At SNW, which is sponsored by SNIA and ComputerWorld, there will be a cloud storage track, featuring presentations from end-users Savvis, Hunter, Maclean, Exley & Dunn, P.C. and EvensonBest, as well as Citigroup.
