Chelsio rolls out iSCSI/NAS storage software

Chelsio on Wednesday announced software that converts any x86-based server into an iSCSI or network attached storage target. Called the Unified Storage Server, the can run as a quest application on a virtual machine under VMware ESX. The USS is managed remotely by a Web-based interface and includes replication, backup, snapshot and volume management capabilities. The Chelsio USS is available starting at $995 for up to 6TB and $2,000 for higher capacity.
