HDS OEMs BlueArc NAS

Hitachi Data Systems announced that it has OEMed the BlueArc network attached storage platform. The company rebranded the NAS appliances as the Hitachi NAS 3080 and 3090 – they offer integrated file tiering capability and over 2PB of capacity and 100K IOPs per node. Also integrated is the Hitachi Discovery Suite, which lets customers move data automatically between Fibre Channel, Serial Attached SCSI, Serial ATA tiers of storage. The Hitachi NAS 3080 scales to 1PB of capacity; the Hitachi NAS 3090 scales to 2PB and supports a file system as large as 256TB.
