* The Citrix Certified Integration Architect certification track Remote access vendor Citrix Systems last month announced the creation of the Citrix Certified Integration Architect certification track. The advanced-level certification allows systems integrators and architects to demonstrate their knowledge of Citrix products and the technical expertise required for design and implementation. The new CCIA certification track rounds out Citrix’ program that addresses all five components of an IT project lifecycle – analysis, design, build/test, rollout and support. CCIA focuses on best practices for analysis and design, whle allowing technicians to demonstrate knowledge in the build/test aspects of deployment.“We’re developing the CCIA certification track in direct response to customer demand for a specialized, architect-level certification that will allow technicians to demonstrate a new level of proficiency in the analysis and design phase of implementing Citrix technology into multiproduct environments,” says Al Monserrat, vice president of worldwide consulting and education services for Citrix. CCIA complements the Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) designation. Both the CCIA and the CCEA require Citrix’s entry-level certification, the Citrix Certified Administrator. CCIA candidates must pass a hands-on lab assessment and an approved third-party design exam. To support the new certification, Citrix also announced a corresponding training course, CTX-6100 Citrix Core Technologies and Architecture. Later in the year, the vendor also plans to offer core courses for the certification track, including Citrix MetaFrame XP design and integration considerations, architectural considerations of Citrix software, and project management skills. For more information about Citrix certification and training through Citrix Authorized Learning Centers, go to https://www.citrix.com/training Related content news Broadcom to lay off over 1,200 VMware employees as deal closes The closing of VMware’s $69 billion acquisition by Broadcom will lead to layoffs, with 1,267 VMware workers set to lose their jobs at the start of the new year.
