Day 29
Nothing new on the jobs boards during the morning check.
Got an email from Bruce Harris at G & B Solutions. They are looking for someone with a background in security for a position that is open with a customer they have in Kansas City. We talked about the position. I told him I would think about it to see how good of a fit I feel I am for the position and will get back with him.
Had my phone interview that Kevin Matheson at Technisource had arranged.
The folks interviewing me asked very few questions, most of which could be answered by yes or no responses. I started giving longer responses than what appeared to be required. Still had significant gaps or “dead air” as the broadcast folks would say between questions from those doing the interviewing.
Didn’t have a good feel about that. The interview lasted less than 20 minutes. From my experience over the years, that isnt a good sign. Not sure if I didnt have what they were looking for or if we just didnt hit it off. Sent an email to Kevin letting him know my feelings on the interview.
Got a call from Bill Groff at Aplus.net. They are a local hosting provider that appears to be growing by leaps and bounds. He inquired about my Asterisk experience. Told him what I had done with it. He is going to refer my resume onto the hiring manager and get back with me.
Heard back from Kevin Matheson at Technisource. He was surprised at my message. The client liked what they heard during the interview and want to bring me in for a face-to-face interview. The times they wanted to see me conflicted with an interview I already have scheduled for Wednesday. He is going to get back with them and see what other times/days are open.
