You know it’s going to be a long day when breakfast conversation goes like this between 6-year-old siblings and their Dad:
“Daddy?”
“Yes, Emma.”
“Which is flatter: Paper or germs?”
“That’s an interesting question, Emma.”
“Grant says paper, but I say it’s germs.”
“Grant?”
“Because you can’t see germs; nothing’s flatter than paper.”
“That’s true, Grant, you can’t see germs.”
“I can see germs.”
“Emma, uh … never mind.”
