Cisco comfortably retained its lead position in the wireless LAN infrastructure market, according to recent market research numbers from Dell’Oro Research. The network giant grew its market share to 63.4% in the third quarter, from 62% in the previous quarter, reports InformationWeek. Chasing Cisco is Aruba which suffered a slight fall in its market share to 8%.
The overall WLAN market worlwide grew 8% to $390.9 million for the quarter, reports InformationWeek, as Cisco increased its revenue in that market by 10% to $248 million.
