Who says print catalogs are dead? Last night, I was perusing the new LL Bean winter warmer catalog that had come in the day’s mail. It was over 70 degrees, so my mind wasn’t exactly thinking “hey, we need a winter coat!”. LL Bean must know this. Printed to the left of my address on the mailing label was a big “-1 degree F” and a message claiming this was the coldest recorded temperature in my town last winter. Nice use of of databases there and great way to remind one how cold it does get in New Hampshire every year. Nice work by the marketing folks at LL Bean.
Now that’s marketing
