OnStor this week released the Bobcat 2280, a new network-attached storage (NAS) gateway designed for serving heavy doses of streaming media. OnStor claims the Bobcat can deliver 1.2Gbps of media when used in a cluster of servers. That’s a lot of streams. It costs a pretty penny though for the perfomance: $59,000.
