When it comes to devices and services, centralize procurement. Although this is easier said than done, organizations will see both cost savings and better alignment with an overall mobility strategy. Nemertes recommends companies contract with the minimum number of providers that can deliver desired services (landline and mobility) across all needed geographies. Most often, this does not mean a single carrier provides all services, since for large, geographically dispersed companies, a single provider is unlikely to meet all needs. Nemertes finds, 37% of organizations have multiple wireless providers, and they typically work with between two and three.
