My podcast on Network World has had some great shows. The latest is on whether open source is more or less secure than proprietary software
Over the last couple of weeks I have been recording a new podcast here on Network World. It is called “The Open Network”. I guess shame on me for not mentioning it here on the blog before.
Anyway, the latest episode is up and posted. It is on whether open source is any more or less secure than other software. This is a topic that my fellow Network World blogger, Amy Vernon had written about. So I had Amy join us on the show.
Joining Amy, is my longtime podcasting partner, Mitchell Ashely who also blogs on Network World over on the Microsoft Subnet. Mitchell, Amy and I have two of my security world friends joining us. Mike Rothman and Adrian Lane of Securosis also chime in.
It is a great look at the issue and is just about 20 minutes long. You can download the mp3 to play it at your leisure as well.
Previous episodes of the podcast have featured Mike Murray and Aaron Cohen of the Hackers Academy, talking about hacking with open source. Also, don’t miss the episode with well known VC, Brad Feld talking about open vs closed systems, which is more attractive from an investment point of view.
