APTARE enhances storage management software

APTARE on Tuesday enhanced its storage management StorageConsole suite with the addition of reporting tools for virtual environments that show resource performance contention and identification of assets that may have been forgotten, underutilized or overprovisioned. StorageConsole is able to reclaim dark storage and account for ESX servers, virtual machines and their associated storage. The new version of StorageConsole also supports VMware vSphere 4.0 and ESX 4.0, as well as VERITAS NetBackup life-cycle policies and synthetic backups and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 6.1. It also includes chargeback accounting.
