Marketing company IT exec wins Open Source Challenge

Vance Dailey, IT vice president at direct marketing and IT resource firm InterMedi@ Marketing Solutions received LinuxWorld.com’s Open Source Challenge Award for its voice over IP recording project based on the open source recording application Oreka TR. The company implemented the recording project with support from OrecX, which develops and sponsors the open-source Oreka.

The award, presented at LinuxWorld OpenSolutions Summit, recognizes forward-thinking IT professionals who build successful business projects drawing on the powerful network of the open source software community. All entries used Linux along with an open source business application and one or more other open source software components.
