Microsoft reportedly has plans to ship 11 security updates — including four critical ones — for its software. Active Directly, Excel and Internet Explorer are among the affected products this time around. Separately, a popular free tool for the Firefox browser has been enhanced to block a serious Web threat. It prevents scripts in Java and other programming languages from executing on untrusted Web pages.
