With a long weekend upon us (Network World is graciously giving us Monday off), I figured today would be a good day to clean out a file cabinet I don’t use often. To wit, I found a press release dated March 16, 2000 from White Pine Software about their updated video portal. What happened to White Pine? They renamed themselves CUSeeMe and then bought by FVC. That company eventually went belly-up and the intellecutal property was acquired by Radvision. Code from White Pine may still be in the Click To Meet product offered by Radvision. Amazing how things evolve.
