Redefining the Branch

branch

Nemertes see substantial growth in very small offices, including one-person offices, telecommuters, and mobile workers. Companies typically define branch locations as: large (201-500 employees); midsize (51-200 employees); small (11-50) and very small (2-10). Now, they also are adding the “micro-branch,” the single-person site. Those numbers are growing: 85.7% of organizations are increasing the number of telecommuters. If you are an IT manager bringing services to these distributed locations, it’s important you streamline products and services across the branch, and centralize management of infrastructure and applications as much as possible.
