Delays in Microsoft software releases are nothing new – in fact, if Microsoft ever actually met one of its promised ship dates, the industry as we know it would probably collapse in on itself. Lately, though, the delays seem to be getting longer, probably due to Microsoft’s concerns over security. The latest casualty is a service pack for Windows Server 2003 that was supposed to ship last year, and that means the version for 64-bit extended systems will be held up as well.
