Cebit America 2005 canceled, low revenue cited

I enjoyed Cebit America in 2003. It surprised me how well-attended it was, and the various tracks were informative. This year was a different story, though. Apart from Network World’s Showdown debate – which was as entertaining as ever – and a few other sessions, there was something odd about it. Like the press room that took up half of the show floor and the kids-and-technology area that took up a good chunk of the rest. So it’s really no surprise that Cebit America didn’t have the sponsors to make it to a third year.
